These first two postings are of paintings I made a year ago after settling into a new studio at my rural home in Climax, North Carolina.  A growing, conscious engagement with the land (in terms of landscape design and vegetable gardening) along with my new studio's spaciousness has caused my approach to painting to take a new tack.
